[News] 120725 JYJ’s Junsu confirms five cities for his North and South American tour

JYJ's Junsu has confirmed a total offive cities for his world tour in North and South America!

Starting August 30th, the tour will open up at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, a venue previously visited by popular artists like Puff Daddy, Nicki Minaj, and Nas. JYJ also held their showcase here in 2010.

On September 2nd, he'll be at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles where the likes of jay-Z and Justin Bieber performed at in the past.

The tour will continue down to South America at the Blackberry Auditorium in Mexico City on September 6th, followed by Espaco Victory in Sao Paulo, Brazil on the 8th, and finally Teatro Caupolican in Santiago, Chile on the 10th.

Representatives of his concert hosts stated, "South American fans are ecstatic over news of Junsu's South American tour. Junsu's concerts have become a back to back hit. Realistically, we know that South American tours aren't affective income-wise, but we feel that this tour will have a positive effect trough C-Jes Entertainment's promotional tactics."

Junsu expressed, "I recently stayed in the States where I worked on my single album and music video. I'm really satisfied with the results of it, and am filled with excitement and anticipation over meeting my fans all over the world once again".

His Asia tour will finish up in Hong Kong on August 7th.

[NEWS] JYJ Kim Junsu rewrites K-pop history with his world tour

JYJ member Junsu who has embarked on his solo career will write a new K-pop history of his own. Wrapping up his Asia Tour which made stops in Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan and China, he is now preparing for another tour, this time in North and South America and Europe.

His first solo album "Tarantalegra" dominated international music charts, including Germany's Asia music chart, Chile's etc.. TV pop chart and Japan's iTunes music chart. It also ranked on Billboard's top 100 world album along with its music video entering at No.1 on a Chinese weekly music video chart.

Junsu planned out a world tour from the early stage of his solo career as he had limited access to his fans with TV. So he consulted able promoters who were in charge of previous JYJ world tour, and planned out one for himself this time that would make two to three stops in the each continent.

Junsu is currently working on repackaging his first solo album in Engish for the upcoming world tour. World-renowned producer Bruce 'Automatic' Vanderveer who had collaborated with American singer Christina Aguilera and music video director Marc Klasfeld who worked with Beyonce, Eminem and Jay-Z participate in the repackaginf process for Junsu's album and the music video.

As the news of Kim Junsu's world tour spread out, his fans across the country take part in a campaign, wishing his tour made a stop in their nations. Fans in Peru made a collection of photos in which every single one of them was holding Junsu's album and poster. His mexican fans created a 5-minutes video, entitled 'Mexico is always waiting for you JYJ' on Youtube. Fans around Europe and South America posted messages online wishing for his visit to their countries.

A pop-culture critic in Korea said Kim Junsu was the very first solo musician launching a "world" tour, and his challenge would be worth looking at, because his overseas success could open a whole new world for solo artist, who did not relatively have much opportunities in the overseas music market, compared to idol groups.

Kim Junsu's repackage to his first solo album will be released in the middle of August, and he will kick off his highly-anticipated world tour in the end of this August.

[NEWS] JYJ releases video of ’2012 JYJ Membership Week’ highlights

From June 28th through July 1st, fans flocked in from Japan as well as from various cities all over Korea to attend JYJ's '2012 JYJ Membership Week'.

As mentioned previously, this was a special event put on by C-Jes Entertainment for the fans who have JYJ Membership and became the first fan expo hold in Korea. The event included a variety of events, including a fan meeting, a 3D Media Facade, Trick Art, and more.

Over 25.000 fans were expected in attendance, including 15.000 official Korean members, as well as 7.024 registered Japanesse members.

With the event having come to a close two weeks ago, JYJ has released a video highlighting some of the moments from the expo.

[NEWS] Why does Kim Junsu have many male fans?

The most special mark of Kim Junsu’s first solo concert held in Taiwan university’s Gymnasium on June 23 is the wide range of his fans - regardless of ages and genders. It was also particularly noticeable that many male fans came to the concert venue alone.

Even Kim Junsu noticed this point on the stage, “I can see some male fans here and there. If you are a male fan, please make some noise”. Quite a few of male fans on the spot waved their hands and let out their ‘deep outcry’. Even the female fans at the venue tried to immitate male voice and that scene made all the audience burst into laugher.

Then, what is the reason that Kim Junsu has so many male fans like this? Out of curiosity, after the concert ended, our reporters asked some fans about it. After analyzing their answers, we came up with the conclusion that Kim Junsu’s unwavering talent is the primary reason.

Liao Fei Ling, the reporter of ‘Korean celebrity’ corner at the magazine ‘Sense of hallyu’, appraised “We were also very surprised to see this many male fans at the concert venue. This is not even a concert of a group. With this many male fans who gathered here just to see Kim Junsu’s exclusive concert, it is proved that he has such a wide range of fans.”

Another reporter explained “Recently, there are many Taiwanese men who like Korean singer. However, the fact that so many of them became fans of Kim Junsu but not of any other girlgroup has a special meaning. Because most of the men only like male singer who has talent. Today, as this many male fans came to the concert, it means that Kim Junsu’s talent is outstanding enough to turn even men into his fans.”

While being asked “Above all, is Kim Junsu’s ability really excellent?”, unanimously, everyone said “It is not simply because of his outer appearance. Because Kim Junsu is a talented man who is blessed with amazing singing ability that allows him to hit the high and low notes as freely as he wants even in an intense dance performance, there are many male fans who really like him.”

Li So Young, a fan who lives in the center of Nantou city said “I think he is gifted with lots of talents. Also, he can stir up tender sentiments while being powerful. He can be beautiful when giving out a strong scent of his masculine beauty. Men seem to particularly like him more for all of those reasons.”

Wang Eui Jung shared his own analysis “Kim Junsu is the first singer who can make me feel such warm emotions in his music. It seems like male fans not only want to learn from his singing ability but also the mournful sense that melts down every heart.”

A fan lives in Banciao, Taipei asked back “He is known for making a lot of donations and he has lots of good characteristic to follow after so will that make the male fans follow his steps too? In today’s concert, he even asked where the male fans were sitting and showed them his considerations so how can the men not like him?”

[NEWS] JYJ’s Junsu tops the Asian Music Chart in Germany with “Tarantallegra”

JYJ’s Junsu (XIA) recently topped the Asian Music Chart in Germany with his solo song, “Tarantallegra.”

On July 10, C-jes Entertainment, Junsu’s agency, reported Junsu ranked first on the monthly Asian Music Chart in Germany, which was updated recently, with the lead track of his solo album, “Tarantallegra.”

Big Bang ranked second and B.A.P ranked third. Junsu also proved his worldwide popularity as he ranked first on the iTunes Chart in Japan, tenth on the Billboard’s World Albums Chart, and first on the monthly Music Video Chart of a Chinese site last month.

Junsu is currently having a concert tour in Asia. Starting in Seoul in May, he went to Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, and China, attracting over 30,000 audiences.

A spokesperson for Junsu says, “JYJ became very popular after they had their exclusive concert in Berlin, Germany. They were the first Korean singing group to hold a concert there. Junsu is also very popular in Europe as a leading character of Mozart and Elizabeth, the famous German musicals.”

1. Introduction?

First of all, this album is my first solo album so that I was able to make it much more reflect my thoughts. And I've produced overall parts of this album

Most of all, the concept of this album is 'Unequalled'. I hoped to highlight uniqueness and specificity so that I made it become music when a song, fashion, make-up and etc get together.

With unprecedentedly costly mv, equipments and sets, best choreographer Jeri Slaughter and sophisticated dance, it was possible for me to make the mv have atmosphere of fantasy.

2. The impression of Shanghai?

Very big, tall, and broad.. It's buildings are really beautiful..

and especially, whenever I visit Shanghai I come to think that its night view is really beautiful.

I hope to see night scene of Shanghai at my hotel room tonight.

3. The next plan or schedule?

The concerts will be continuing for long time. I've yet determined..but it seems that the concerts will be continued. So, I hope I can sucessfully complete the tour. And next, there are many options and I haven't decided yet... it could be the musical, or an album, or the TV activities.

4. Which song do you like most?

umm...I've received such a question for several times. Frankly, I've made almost all of the songs in the album so that, for me, the songs feel like my children. Thus, it's difficult to choose just one song. And, which song I like most is depending on my mood on the very day. Well, if I have to choose only one, I'd like to pick up Tarantallegra because I think it is most suitable for the concept of 'Unequalled'
